Toolkit in the trunk saved my ass. I had to dismantle 2 bikes for transport. the bolts that hold the wheels on were too large for the wrenches included in the kit (8, 10, 12, 13).
Toolkit pictured not mine.
But... Channel locks also in the kit came to the rescue and took them off no problem. The $400 Bimmer has already paid for itself, despite expensive fuel and repair bills, and will regret when I sell it.

Seriously a brilliant idea. It’s like they knew stuff was going to break down.
Speaking of which, have you fixed the Civic yet?

Nope. engine’s still in purgatory, waiting in on some dowel pins, got the overbored head gasket on the 27th. been working countless hours during the week, so I have no chance to check up on it. Hoping to (regretfully) sell the BMW and grab a rust free Mazda 323 hatch as a possible camera car if i’m ever in the need to take some cool rolling shots.
Funny thing is, only time the bmw’s broken down was when the alternator finally decided to let go, after overcharging the battery (and making that poor sob LEAK) for who knows how long.

The screwdriver that came in my e36's toolkit is like, one of the best I’ve had

Damn, here’s hoping that gets sorted out sooner rather than later.

I’m so with you right there. These tools are great in a pinch. I’m running possibly the roughest e36 currently on oppo.
That's just the good side. It's a lot worse on the other side.

oh yeah for sure, my civic’s tag just expired too, and without it running, it wouldn’t even pass an E-test. easiest way for the new engine to pass is to run a CRV or ‘Teg LS computer with an imobilizer bypass. a B20V has the same stroke so it should be close enough to run and drive, but will lean out on higher loads.
